Drivers of the Rolex Sports Car Series appeared ready for Saturday's 25th Running of the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen when they finished up practice at 8:00 pm tonight. Scott Pruett and Luis Diaz, drivers of the No. 01 CompUSA Chip Ganassi Lexus Riley, hold the pole but fast practice times point to a very exciting race at Watkins Glen International when the race begins at 2:30 pm.
Helio Castroneves set the pace during IndyCar Series practice on Friday. His lap of 133.792 mph just missed the lap record of 133.806 mph that he set last year qualifying for the Inaugural Watkins Glen Indy Grand Prix. Castroneves knocked Tony Kanaan out of the top spot on his last lap of practice and will determine the qualifying order for the 2nd Annual Watkins Glen Indy Grand Prix presented by Tissot scheduled to start at 12:20 pm on Saturday.
Excellent tickets are still available for all of Saturday and Sunday's racing action. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or by contacting the Watkins Glen International ticket office at 1-866-461-RACE.
