Kurt Busch now holds the pole positions for both NASCAR races at Watkins Glen International. Busch had his #39 Penske Truck Rental Dodge dialed in, clocking a lap of 121.526 mph. He will share the front row with road course specialist Scott Pruett (120.858 mph), who is fresh off his victory in last afternoon's Rolex Sports Car Series Crown Royal 200 at The Glen. Third quickest was Kevin Harvick (120.792 mph), followed by three-time Watkins Glen Busch Series winner Ron Fellows (120.586 mph). Defending race winner Ryan Newman will start fifth with a speed of 120.535 mph.
Busch, the 2004 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series champion, becomes the third driver to sweep the pole positions for both the NASCAR Busch Series and NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series races at Watkins Glen International. Terry Labonte won both pole positions in 1991 and Tony Stewart repeated the feat in 2005.
Miss America, Jennifer Berry, will give the command to start engines for the Zippo 200, with the green flag dropping at 2:00 pm.
