The Finger Lakes Wine Festival, supported by the Corning Museum of Glass, will remind you why thousands of visitors visit the bountiful region each year. Learn why New York wines consistently win rave reviews at New York Wine Country's premier event, July 20-22, 2007, at Watkins Glen International.

"We are thrilled to promote the wines and culinary gems of New York," states Festival Director, Wendy Brubaker. "But the Festival is more than just wine - we are an arts, music, culinary and wine festival all rolled into one fabulous weekend of fun. We even offer Pace Car rides around the our world renown road course in one of Watkins Glen International's official vehicles. We are especially excited about the many new additions to our 2007 Festival. We've expanded the culinary aspect of the event and have teamed up with leading culinary experts who will share their knowledge with guests during new interactive culinary classes. This year we will bring in regional winemakers to mingle with guests during our Tasters Banquet, "Meet, Greet and Eat with Winemakers", which pair Festival wines with foods from the Finger Lakes created by master chef, Paul Mach. New York Micro Breweries will add another facet to the Festival, offering an alternative array of beverages for all tastes."

The new culinary classes are included with Festival admission, and enhance the comprehensive line up of the wine seminars and live cooking demonstrations that have been happening at the Festival for the past several years. Festival-goers may take a break from wine tasting to take in a wine seminar, hosted by the New York Wine and Grape Foundation or watch a live cooking demonstration from hot regional chefs, organized by Finger Lakes Culinary Bounty, a regional group promoting local agricultural products.

New for 2007 is the "Brewers Corner", an area with a pub-like feel with plenty of seating, live music and great food nearby. Rooster Fish Brewery, of Watkins Glen and Ithaca Beer Company will offer Festival goers the opportunity to purchase pints of their locally produced, handcrafted beer. New York Craft Beers are also one of the topics covered in the Festival's new Culinary Classes.

Along with expanded beverage options, the Festival has increased the number of restaurant vendors Food will now be available in three areas, all with plenty of seating and live music.

Due to the high demand, the Festival has added 30 new sites to the exclusive Reserved RV zone—complete with electric hook-up and nearby fresh water spigots. One of the unique aspects of the Festival is the ability to offer on-site camping for both tents and RV's during the event weekend, including an on-site RV dump station. Camping begins at Noon, Friday July 20, and extends through Monday, July 23rd 9:00am.

The one-stop showcase of New York wines and foods, the Festival offers a feast for the senses without pretension, for both the novice and seasoned aficionados. 79 wineries are slated to attend, with over 500 wines poured throughout the course of the Festival weekend. In addition to the wineries, the festival hosts a variety of vendors from throughout the country—representing artisans, jewelers, culinary and agricultural products, displays and wine accessories. Live entertainment is scheduled throughout the weekend, highlighted by The Corning Museum of Glass' Hot Glass Roadshow.

The celebration kicks-off Friday evening, July 20th, with fireworks, wine, and togas at "Yancey's Fancy Cheese Launch of the Lakes". Spend an evening in the Festival's Coliseum Village where you can sip wine, dance to live music and join in the parade of togas. Awards will be handed out for several different categories, including the coveted King and Queen, who win an all

inclusive trip to the 2008 Festival.

The main tasting event is Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00am - 5:00pm.
