Wade Cunningham laid down the gauntlet in morning practice for the Indy Pro Series Corning Twin 100s at Watkins Glen International, shattering his own track record in the process. His time of 1:37.8254 was a full 2.2251 seconds under his old track record. Cunningham was 1.6193 seconds faster than Jaime Camara, who also broke the old record, and 2.3381 seconds ahead of Daniel Herrington. Cunningham's old record of 1:40.0505 had stood since 2005.
The Indy Pro Series cars will be on track for practice again at 1:15 p.m. this afternoon, with qualifying for the first Corning Twin 100 at 5:00 p.m.
