The stars of the IndyCar Series take to the legendary 3.4 mile circuit for 60 minutes of practice beginning at 9:45 a.m. Single car and Firestone Fast 6 qualifying for the Camping World Watkins Glen Grand Prix begins at 1:30 p.m. After setting the fastest time in Friday's practice, defending pole-sitter Helio Castroneves looks to secure the coveted number one starting position.
Fans can get their favorite driver's autograph at the IndyCar & Indy Pro Series Drivers Autograph Session in the Finish Line Hospitality area beginning at 4:00 p.m. Some of the sport's biggest names of the past will be at the IndyCar Legends Autograph Session immediately following at 4:30.
Connoisseurs of racing history will truly appreciate the classic Formula One racing machines as they take to the track for the Penn Grade Historic Grand Prix at 11:00 a.m. Ferrari, McLaren, Williams, and Lotus are just some of the storied racing marks represented in this event.
The Indy Pro Series will showcase future stars in the Corning 100 at 12:15 today. Wade Cunningham is the provisional pole-sitter and will hope to lock down that position in final qualifying at 9:00 a.m.
Sports car enthusiasts will be rewarded with the 3-hour Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series Supercuts 200. Tom Long, driving the Automatic Racing BMW M3, will show the way from pole position at 3:30 p.m.
The entertainment continues on into the night, as Carbon Leaf performs on the Red Cat Summer Stage behind the front stretch. Then watch the NEXTEL Cup Series Pepsi 400 on the JumboTron from the front stretch grandstand. That will also be a perfect vantage point to enjoy a spectacular fireworks display at dusk.
