Kids Free During Camping World Grand Prix
Families looking to get the biggest bang for their buck during the 4th of July holiday weekend should plan on heading to The Soul of American Road Racing for the Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen, July 4-6. General admission tickets for kids 12 and under are FREE! That's right - FREE! Fans can save even more money by taking advantage of advance sale prices when ordered before Opening Day, April 27.
General admission (GA) tickets to the Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen provide access to almost all viewing areas around the historic road course except for the Pit Terrace and FrontStretch Grandstands. Both the Pit Terrace and FrontStretch Grandstands are reserved and not considered general admission during the IndyCar Series race weekend. A GA ticket will get fans into the Ninety, Red, White and Blue, Turn 10 and the NEW McDonald's Family Zone Grandstands as well as all GA viewing areas surrounding the 3.4 mile road-course.
Looking for more FREE family fun? Don't miss the NEW Free McDonald's Family Zone, featuring McDonaldland® characters, games, prizes, inflatables, face painting and more. The McDonald's Family Zone is adjacent to the McDonald's Family Grandstand, a designated smoke-and-alcohol-free area. Seating is limited for this grandstand. Kids 12 and under are still free in this stand. Fans can learn more by calling 866-461-RACE and ask about the "McDonald's Family Zone Grandstand".
The Camping World Grand Prix is not the only event that just became even more affordable for families. This deal includes the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen, June 8-10; Watkins Glen Historics, June 13-15; SCCA Glen Nationals, July 12-13; and the Vintage Grand Prix, September 5-7. Unlike the Camping World Grand Prix weekend, there is no reserved grandstand ticket during these weekends - so families that take advantage of this offer can sit in any of the seven grandstands located throughout the historic 3.4 mile road course.
In addition to the newly merged IndyCar Series, fans that come to The Glen will be treated to exciting racing action that will feature the Corning Duels Indy Pro Series races, Grand Am KONI Challenge Series, and the Penn Grade 1 Historic Grand Prix. Fans looking for more to do than just watching racing will not be disappointed with free concerts on the Red Cat Summer Stage, the free Friday Night Block Party, the July NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race live from Daytona International Speedway on the FrontStretch Jumbotron, driver autograph sessions, a wine and cheese party, and two large fireworks shows; including one of the biggest in Western New York on Friday, July 4.
Tickets for the racing action at Watkins Glen International are on-sale now! This year the season kicks-off with the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series, June 6-7 paired with the NASCAR Camping World Series' East Division on Sunday, June 8. Kids 12 and under are Free during the June 6-7 and July 4-6 event weekends when accompanied by an adult. Open-wheel racing returns for the 4th of July weekend during the Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen, July 4-6, and the Centurion Boats at The Glen NASCAR Sprint Cup and Zippo 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series weekend highlights the summer action, August 7-10.
