Ricky Carmichael Will Be Available to Fans
As part of a continued effort to make the top drivers in racing available to fans, Watkins Glen International will give fans three chances to chat with former AMA Motocross/Supercross legend and current NASCAR Camping World Series driver Ricky Carmichael. Carmichael and Ken Schrader Racing teammate, Jaime Hayes will be available for a live chat on the WGI Fan Talk Forum on Wednesday, May 28th from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Fans that miss this opportunity should plan on attending the NASCAR Camping World Series autograph session on Saturday, June 7th or purchasing fan hospitality during the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen weekend, June 6-8.
The Carmichael and Hayes chat on Wednesday, May 28th is the second live chat leading up to the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen weekend. The live chats are open to all race fans that are registered on the WGI Fan Talk Forum.
If chatting with the Ken Schrader Racing teammates online is not enough, fans will have two chances on Saturday, June 7th to actually meet and speak with both of them.
The first chance will be a Driver Q & A featuring both Carmichael and Hayes in fan hospitality. The Q&A is scheduled to run 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM and is open to any fan that has purchased hospitality for the event weekend. Fan Hospitality admission costs only $25 and will be open 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM on Saturday, June 7. The price of admission not only covers the Q&A but also unlimited beverages all day, an all-you-can-eat tailgate-style lunch 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, and a snack bar 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Hospitality can be purchased ahead of time by calling 866-461-RACE or onsite during the event weekend.
Carmichael and Hayes will join their fellow NASCAR Camping World Series East Division drivers for an autograph session later in the day. The autograph session is scheduled to run 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM in the Turn 10 Village which is directly across from Turn 11 Fan Hospitality and is covered by the price of admission.
class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-indent: 0.5in; line-height: 150%">Ricky Carmichael’s most well-known nickname is G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) and when it comes to AMA motocross/supercross competition it is well deserved.
Jaime Hayes is competing in his second season for Ken Schrader Racing. In 2007, he ran 13 races in the NASCAR Camping World Series East Division for Schrader Racing and earned one Top-5 finish and six Top-10 finishes. His solid finishes resulted in an eighth place finish in the final season standings.
