Ryan Newman to Make Pit Stop at Bills Camp

Ryan Newman, driver of the No. 12 Alltel NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car and winner of the 2008 Daytona 500, will make a stop at St. John Fisher College, in Pittsford, NY for the Buffalo Bills Training Camp on Wednesday, July 30th. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series star will watch the Bills' afternoon practice, which is scheduled to run 1:00 PM - 3:05 PM. Newman will be in town to promote the upcoming Centurion Boats at The Glen, taking place at Watkins Glen International, August 7-10. Newman will be making his first ever visit to Buffalo Bills Training Camp but already shares a common bond with one of the players. Starting offensive guard Brad Butler was a college teammate and roommate of Newman's jack man, Bryan White. The two attended the University of Virginia and remain friends to this day. Newman might also feel like he is back in college as the Purdue University graduate will be surrounded by several players that attended rival Big Ten schools including starting wide receiver Lee Evans (Wisconsin), starting middle linebacker Paul Posluszny (Penn State), and starting strong safety Donte Whitner (Ohio State).
