Emma Mae Jacob, a young country music star, will perform the National Anthems during the pre-race festivities for the Centurion Boats at The Glen on Sunday, August 10. Jacob will warm-up for her performance by opening for the Saturday Night Concert on the Red Cat Summer Stage on Saturday, August 9.
Despite being just 16, Jacob moved from her family's home in California to Nashville to pursue a country music career. She has turned a lot of heads along the way and gotten attention from influential country songwriters and record producers. With the help of Biff Watson, who recorded and produced her album, Jacob recorded her debut album which hit the market in June 2008. Jacob is currently promoting her album on tour while opening for Jason Aldean, a country singer-songwriter.
Jacob is expected to sing between 3-4 songs from her new album "Breaking All the Rules" during the Saturday Night Concert. She will be joined on the Red Cat Summer Stage by her band of two guitarists and a fiddler. The concert will be held near the Esses and is scheduled to begin immediately following the Zippo 200. Admission is included in the price of a weekend ticket.
