Budweiser Tiki Hut added for Centurion Boats at the Glen:This year, WGI will add a new feature that is sure to become a fan favorite. The Budweiser Tiki Hut will open its doors for the first time during the Centurion Boats at The Glen to fans ages 21 and over. The hut will sell an assortment of Anheuser-Busch and Diageo products, and will serve a variety of stadium-style snacks. The Budweiser Tiki Hut will be open on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, and Sunday from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The Tiki Hut is located inside the track by Turn 10 next to the Pyramid Souvenir Store.
Test Drive a Tundra at Toyota Prove-It!: Toyota will add an opportunity to test drive a Toyota Tundra during the Centurion Boats at The Glen weekend. The Toyota Prove-It! National Tour will stop by Watkins Glen International with an on- and off-road terrain course located immediately behind the Toyota PitPass display on Manufacturer's Row. Anyone with a valid driver's license is invited to stop by the Toyota Prove It! display to test drive the company's most popular truck, the Toyota Tundra. Toyota Prove It! is free to all attendees and will be operating Friday and Saturday from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, and Sunday from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
McDonald's Kids Zone will provide an Afternoon of Entertainment: The McDonald's Kids Zone will return for another weekend of family-fun during the Centurion Boats at The Glen, August 7-10. This year, the McDonald's Kids Zone will feature inflatable games, a miniature train, face painting and crafts. McDonald's will also sponsor a prize wheel where kids can win free McDonald's food and prizes. Kids can also enjoy visits with their favorite McDonald's characters when they stop by the Kids Zone. The McDonald's Kids Zone will be open on Friday from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Saturday from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, and on Sunday from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
Flyover will be provided by the 914th Airlift Wing: The 914th Airlift Wing from the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station will provide the flyover for the Centurion Boats at The Glen, on Sunday, August 10. The group will fly a C-130 H2 over the track as a part of the pre-race festivities.
WGI Town Hall will Provide Services for Fans Around the Clock: Watkins Glen International will provide fans with three convenient Town Hall locations throughout the Centurion Boats at The Glen weekend. All three structures will be located within camping areas, and will have large banner flags so fans can see them from a distance. Locations will include the Gate 7 camping area, the Gate 1 camping area, and Camping Section D. Each Town Hall will have an information booth and staff member to help answer any questions, an ambulance and paramedic, a fire truck, a law enforcement officer, and an ice truck. The town hall locations will be open 24 hours a day to provide guests with services whenever necessary.
TV Compound to Open in New Location: The new TV Compound at Watkins Glen International will be utilized for the first time during the Centurion Boats at The Glen, August 7-10. The compound will move outside the track from its former location inside Turn 10. The new TV Compound is located behind the FrontStretch Grandstands off of Old Bronson Hill Road. The new compound is larger and will provide stations more room to spread out. This is another enhancement to the track as we continue to improve on the amenities that we offer to fans, series and the media that cover the races at Watkins Glen International. The move also opens up additional space for fan activities inside the track. In the place of the former TV Compound, fans can now enjoy the Budweiser Tiki Hut and an expanded Manufacturer's Row.
