Sodus, NY, Dip and Cheese Producer Named Title Sponsor of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race

Watkins Glen International announced during a press conference held at the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel on Friday, March 13, that Heluva Good! will be the new title sponsor for the historic road course’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race in 2009. The newly titled “Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen,” is scheduled to take the green flag at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 9, during its traditional race weekend, and will be broadcast live on ESPN.
"We truly appreciate the opportunity to work with such a well respected national brand as Heluva Good! during our NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event in August,” stated Craig Rust, president of Watkins Glen International. “From the tailgaters and camping crowd at the race to the millions watching on TV, The Glen and NASCAR are a great platform for them to showcase their brand and products to all of the race fans located both in New York State and around the country.”

Heluva Good!, headquartered in Sodus, New York, is part of the family of brands owned by HP Hood LLC, Lynnfield, Massachusetts. Heluva Good! products, including a variety of sour cream dips and naturally aged cheese, are available in dairy cases throughout the Eastern and Southern U.S. and all of Canada. Heluva Good! will also be the official dip product of Watkins Glen International for the 2009 season and also has promotional rights with ISC sister facility, Michigan International Speedway.
The NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series will turn left and right when they return
for New York’s largest weekend sporting event during the newly titled Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen event weekend, August 6-9. Many of the stars of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will pull double-duty in the Zippo 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Saturday, August 8th.
The weekend action kicks-off with the Crown Royal 200 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series race on the night of Friday, August 7th. Fans can SAVE by taking advantage of Advance Sale prices until Sunday, April 26th. Weekend tickets currently start at just $65!
