As a part of their race week festivities, drivers of the No. 61 AIM Autosport Ford Riley and Watkins Glen International’s Twisted, Only Racing Tour visited Frontier Field on Wednesday, June 3 to take in a Rochester Red Wings game and promote their upcoming race at Watkins Glen International.  To commemorate the visit, driver Burt Frisselle was asked to throw the opening pitch, as his teammates, Mark Wilkins and Bruno Junqueira, looked on.  All three drivers are in the area for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, which will take place on Saturday, June 6th.

"Coming to the ball park last night, I thought I had this one in the bag" Burt said, "but it is a whole lot different when you walk out to the mound in front of a crowd compared to how the scenario plays out in your head.  My brother Brian went out last year threw a strike and after a week of practicing at home I was throwing strikes too.  Not so much last night, but I did get the ball to the plate.  The alternative would have been a bit harder to live down."

Despite rain in the area, the weather luckily held off for a dry opening pitch and ballgame.  To start the game, Burt Frisselle threw a fiery pitch that overshot the plate and sailed past the catcher.
Burt continued, "Guess I won't be starting any All Star games in the future but it was fun to get out there.  It was fun to meet the fans and get a chance to show off the AIM Autosport No. 61 Ford Riley and talk about the race this weekend.  Thanks to everyone from the Rochester Red Wings and Frontier Field for a great night."

Fans that visited the WGI and AIM Autosport display had a chance to win ticket to this weekend’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, get up-close and personal with the AIM Autosport No. 61 Ford Riley and No. 92 Zippo Blu NASCAR Nationwide Series show cars, and check-out the WGI Toyota Tundra show truck.
