Erik Estrada, the Batmobile, and the Black Beauty will be part of a display next to The Pyramid

Fans attending the Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen, July 3-5, are invited to take a look back to several classic television shows with a special display next to the Pyramid.  The display will feature a visit by Erik Estrada, who played “Ponch” on the 1970s-1980s television hit “CHiP’s.”  Also joining him will be the Batmobile and the Black Beauty, both of which are from hit 1960’s television shows.  The cars will be on display throughout the entire weekend, and Estrada will be making several appearances.  Fans are invited to visit the display for more information.

Erik Estrada of the television hit “CHiP’s” will be at the track throughout the event weekend to meet fans and sign autographs.  Fans that are interested in meeting Estrada are encouraged to visit the display area to find out his exact appearance times.  Estrada is probably best known for his six-year role as the highway patrol officer Frank Poncherello, although the actor has been in countless shows and movies since that time.

Also at display will be the Batmobile and the Black Beauty from the hit televisions series Batman and the Green Hornet, respectively.  The Batmobile has been upgraded from its original condition when it was used in the 1960s hit.  Today, the car has a 705 horsepower stroker motor, with all stainless and chrome engine components, and a flame thrower in the back.  The Black Beauty is a 1966 Imperial, which has also been upgraded since its 1960’s television career.  The 500 horsepower car features rear rockets, smoke machines, and stainless exhaust with cutouts.
