The McDonald's Kids' Zone is full of kid-friendly fun.
This year, the McDonald’s Kid Zone will be filled with all of your children’s favorite activities. Special appearances will feature McDonald’s own Grimace and Hamburglar, as well as Graham Rahal, who is the driver of the No. 02 McDonald’s Dallara for Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing. Grimace and Hamburglar will be visiting the McDonald’s Kid Zone throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday. Rahal will be making one 15 minute appearance per day. On Saturday, he will stop by some time between 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM, and Sunday’s appearance will be between 10:45 AM – 11:30 AM.
In addition to appearances, kids can play various carnival-type games based on the McDonald’s Characters, play in inflatable games, or even ride a train around the play area. A special Craft Corner will allow kids to create their own artwork, or even have their face painted. An educational station will be provided by the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control. The 42’ mobile interactive display will teach kids about fire safety and prevention, and give kids a chance to ask their questions to real firemen.
McDonald’s representatives will be in the Kid Zone all day to give out free samples of McDonald’s Sweet Tea, as well as take donations for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Guests are invited to spin the prize wheel to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York. For just $1 per spin, guests have the chance to win food, toys and Coca-Cola Classic collector glasses. Fans can also enjoy music as a radio station broadcasts a live remote from the McDonald’s Kid Zone area.
All families are invited to visit the McDonald’s Kid Zone, and those with general admission tickets may consider sitting in the McDonald’s Family Grandstand. This family-friendly grandstand is smoke- and alcohol-free, and provides the closest and easiest access to the McDonald’s Kid Zone. Just like any other seat at Watkins Glen International, the view will be fantastic as the grandstand overlooks all the action in the Esses. The McDonald’s Family Grandstand will be open to all weekend general admission ticket holders, and seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
