Biffle Makes Pit Stop at Buffalo Bills Training Camp
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Star Meets Bills' Starting Placekicker

Greg Biffle, driver of the No. 16 3M Ford Fusion for Roush Fenway Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stopped by Buffalo Bills Training Camp on the evening of Thursday, July 30. It was Biffle’s first visit to the Buffalo Bills Training Camp and allowed him to meet a fellow native of the Northwestern United States. Biffle was in the area to promote the upcoming Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen event weekend, which takes place at Watkins Glen International August 6-9.
During his visit to the training camp at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, N.Y., Biffle met up with the starting placekicker for the Buffalo Bills, Rian Lindell. Biffle and Lindell are both natives of Vancouver, WA, and somewhat surprisingly had never met prior to today. The two sports stars had a private meet and greet prior to meeting with the members of the media in attendance. During the media availability, the duo exchanged team apparel as part of a photo opportunity. Biffle presented Lindell with an autographed crew shirt for his Roush Fenway Racing team, and accepted an autographed Bills helmet from Lindell.
Biffle thoroughly enjoyed his time a Bills Training Camp and mentioned that he is ready to return to The Glen in just over a week.
“I thought it was pretty cool [visiting Bills training camp], it was exciting to meet Rian and kind of trade stories about hometown it was pretty neat the people he knew. To come and see the guys practice getting ready for the season is pretty exciting,” said Biffle. “I like The Glen and love to road course race, we only get to two opportunities a year and I look forward to it. I get to run the Nationwide race too which is one of my favorite races for that weekend.”
Lindell had known of Biffle for a number of years and was very happy to meet him for the first time.
“I’ve been following him [Biffle] since I found out that we were from the same town so it was cool to meet him,” said Lindell. “I found out about him like ten years ago when he came out and had a great rookie year but we just never crossed paths until today. It’s a small world.”
Biffle has been racing at The Glen for over a decade, and is one of the few drivers to have competed on the 2.45-mile road course in all three of NASCAR’s top divisions. In the 2000 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, Biffle qualified in the pole position, dominated the race, and went on to visit Gatorade Victory Lane. Biffle has always qualified well for his six NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts; he recording three top-10 starting positions and has an average start of 15.2. Despite having completed over 92% of all possible laps during his Sprint Cup Series career at The Glen, Biffle has only recorded one top-10 finish.
