Save at The Glen in 2010
Kids 15 and Under Get Special Pricing or Free Admission (event specific), Reduced Prices on Select Tickets Help Fans Save, New Ticketing and Parking Options Offered
By: WGI Staff on 10/5/2009
Fans have until October 23 to renew their seats for the 2010 season at The Glen. Tickets go on-sale to the general public on November 14.
The 2009 racing season came to a close last month with the U.S Vintage Grand Prix but the 2010 season at Watkins Glen International is already on the horizon and race fans will find it more affordable than ever to catch all of the racing action at the historic road course. Race fans who purchased tickets (or camping) during the 2009 season in advance, will have the opportunity to take advantage of these reduced prices as well as new ticketing and parking options BEFORE they go on-sale to the general public in November, but they can also add a little flexibility by choosing to pay half now and half later using the ‘50/50 Payment Plan’.
The biggest changes involve tickets for the Heluva Good! Sour Creams Dips at The Glen NASCAR Sprint Cup Series weekend, August 5-8. Weekend general admission tickets start at only $60 which is a 13% savings from 2009. NEW in 2010, fans will get something they have been asking for - the option of purchasing a Sunday-Only Reserved Grandstand seat with a Sprint Vision view. This offer includes the Ninety, Silver, Red, White and Blue, Turn 10, and Green Grandstands and starts at only $65. The reduced prices for the McDonald’s Family Grandstand that were introduced in 2009 will continue making it more affordable for families to attend New York State’s largest weekend sporting event.
The ways to save and new options do not end with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series weekend. Fans will be able to purchase an infield parking pass for the Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen event weekend for ONLY $25. This pass will permit fans to tailgate and catch all of the action from inside the track for the entire weekend. The Kids Free program returns but now kids 15 and under qualify for this great deal compared to 12 and under in the past. Kids 15 and under are Free during the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen, Watkins Glen Historics, SCCA Glen Nationals, and U.S. Vintage Grand Prix weekends. The free offer doesn’t apply during the NASCAR race weekend, however, the McDonald Family Grandstand will still offer a weekend reserved ticket for kids 15 years and under ticket for only $20. That is only $5 per day and keeps costs affordable for Glen families.
Once again fans can SAVE even MORE on the newly named Glen-Pak, formerly 3-Pak, premium race package. Fans can attend two great race weekends for as low as $130, a savings of $55 off the regular price. This package includes FrontStretch Grandstand seating for the Heluva Good Sour Cream Dips at The Glen and Zippo 200 races in August, and the Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen, during the 4th of July holiday weekend.
Looking to upgrade or relocate?
Fans that renew by the 10/25 deadline will also be able to upgrade or relocate their seats (or camping) during the upgrade and relocation period, November 3-6. Fans interested in taking advantage of this can call the Upgrade/Relocation Hotline at 866-461-(RACE) 7223, during those four days, from 8am to 5pm.
For an additional $25, race fans can also choose to add the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen weekend to their Glen-Pak race package. Event ticket insurance is also available to
help protect against unforeseen circumstances such as the postponement of this year’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race due to rain. The cost is only $6.25 per ticket and covers 100% of the purchase price for the ticket (conditions apply).
