Trivia Questions Released Through Facebook and Twitter During Daytona 500 and DRIVE4COPD 300 Programming

Fans can win great prizes by watching the Daytona 500 on Sunday, February 14, including exlusive VIP packages to the 2010 Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen.
Thought the commercials during the Super Bowl this weekend were engaging? Think again. Race fans will have a chance to win when they watch the Daytona 500 and supporting programs this week in Rochester, Syracuse and the Twin Tiers.
The Glen is launching a new contest challenging television viewers to carefully watch the “Esses” commercial for the 2010 Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen, August 5-8. Fans will be asked to engage in a treasure hunt to seek out the answers to trivia questions that will be released exclusively online using Facebook (www.facebook.com/watkinsgleninternational) and Twitter (www.Twitter.com/wgi). Prizes will range from driver autographs, race themed hats & shirts and other WGI merchandise, to tickets and VIP experiences that cannot be purchased to the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen, August 5-8.
The process for winning is simple. All fans living in Rochester, Syracuse, Binghamton, and Elmira/Corning markets need to do is log-on to the two social media sites, find the trivia questions, set their TiVo or DVR - and watch to win. The Glen’s commercial will air on ESPN 2 and FOX during the live broadcasts from Daytona International Speedway – ‘The World Center of Racing’. The commercial will run on WUHF-Rochester, WSYT-Syracuse, and WYDC-Corning during the Daytona 500. The green flag is scheduled to fall at 1:00 PM, Sunday February 14. The commercial will also run on ESPN2 during the NASCAR Nationwide Series final practice, qualifying and DRIVE4COPD 300 race, Thursday – Saturday.
The treasure hunt will launch on Thursday, February 11 at 12:00 PM EST using only the Facebook and Twitter pages for the historic road course. This will happen daily through Tuesday, February 16. The first fan to correctly answer the question each day will win – it is that simple. The winners name will be posted on the two sites and they will be contacted by a track representative.
Fans living outside of Central and Western New York do not need to worry, the commercial will be made available for everyone to view, following the conclusion of the Daytona 500, on TheGlen.com, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter starting on Monday, February 15. This will give every WGI fan a chance to win and will keep the WGI prize pot flowing.
Tickets for the entire 2010 season including the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen, August 5-8, and Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen, July 2-4, weekends are on sale now! Fans can take advantage of advanced sale prices and new options by calling the Watkins Glen International ticket office at 866-461-RACE (7223) or logging on to the official website, www.TheGlen.com. Tickets, gift certificates and track merchandise can all be purchased at The Shop located at 2 North Franklin Street in downtown Watkins Glen. The Shop is open Monday-Friday 9-5, Saturday 9-4, and is closed Sunday.
