Turn 11 Fan Hospitality Highlights Off-Track Fun During Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen

Driver Autograph Sessions, Concert, and Sahlen's Hot Dog Eating Contest will Provide PLenty of Activities for Fans

Fan hospitality for the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen is located trackside in Turn 11 and is available for only $25!

Fans looking for fun and affordable off-track activities during the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, June 4-6, will not be disappointed by the wide variety offered at The Soul of American Road Racing.  Fan hospitality will once again be located inside Turn 11 to provide fans the chance to get right next to the racing action while enjoying a delicious meal all for a great price.  The popular autograph sessions featuring the drivers of GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series and Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, Saturday night concert, and 4th Annual Sahlen’s Hot Dog Eating contest will also return during the weekend and are covered by the price of weekend admission. 

There is no better way to get close to the exciting racing action of the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen than fan hospitality located trackside in Turn 11.  Fans will not only be treated to a great view but also enjoy an all-you-can-eat tailgate style buffet with unlimited Pepsi products and a meet and greet with No. 99 GAINSCO/Bob Stallings driver and 2007 Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen winner Alex Gurney from 12:10 – 12:25 PM  – all for only $25!.  Hospitality ticket holders will also be given a complimentary souvenir gift and event program and get to watch the race on a closed-circuit television.   The hospitality area will only be open 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Saturday, June 5.  Passes to fan hospitality can be purchased in advance by going to www.TheGlen.com or calling 866-461-RACE and also onsite by going directly to the hospitality area on Saturday, June 5 starting at 12:00 PM.

Fans can look forward to two separate autograph sessions on two different days.  The autograph session with the stars of the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series will be held at the team transporters in the main paddock area from 5:00 – 6:00 PM on Friday, June 4.  The session will feature every Rolex Series driver including defending Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen champions Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas and 2009 Rolex Series champions Alex Gurney and Jon Fogarty.  The GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge autograph session will include the drivers of the most exciting series featuring sports cars, coupes and sedans that come straight from the dealership floor.  Drivers will be available for autographs on pit road during the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge pit walk from 9:20 – 9:45 AM on Saturday, June 5.  The session ends only 30 minutes before the green flag falls on the Continental Tire 150 at The Glen at 10:15 AM. 

The evening of Saturday, June 5 will really be rocking and full of family-friendly fun.  Fans can test their stomachs in the 4th Annual Sahlen’s Hotdog Eating Contest on the Tiki Hut Stage at 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM.  The event is family-friendly because there will two hot dog eating contests; one for kids 15 and under and another for adults only.  Fans of all ages that would like to enter the contest can sign up all day at the Tiki Hut.  Contestants will be challenged to eat as many hotdogs and buns as they can within a six-minute period.  The winner will take home a trophy and be granted access to Gatorade Victory Lane for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen.  The evening will conclude with the Saturday Night Concert featuring the New York State-based rock band Highline held on the Tiki Hut Stage from 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM.

Tickets for the entire 2010 season including the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen, August 5-8, and Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen, July 2-4, weekends are on sale now!  Fans can purchase tickets by calling the Watkins Glen International ticket office at 866-461-RACE (7223) or logging on to the official website, www.TheGlen.com.  Tickets, gift certificates and track merchandise can all be purchased at The Shop located at 2 North Franklin Street in downtown Watkins Glen.  The Shop is open Monday-Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 9-4.
