Discover a taste of the Finger Lakes during an afternoon of wine and cheese sampling in the newly-expanded Finger Lakes Wine Experience located in the Turn 10 Village.
Fans that attend the IZOD IndyCar Series, Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen, July 2-4, can also discover a taste of the Finger Lakes during an afternoon of wine and cheese sampling in the newly-expanded Finger Lakes Wine Experience located in the Turn 10 Village. This year, the Finger Lakes Wine Experience exhibit will be presented in conjunction with Finger Lakes Wine Country, a regional tourism marketing association, and Yancey’s Fancy New York’s Artisan Cheese.
In the Finger Lakes Wine Experience, fans can sip the afternoon away with wine from such wineries as. Cascata Winery, Catherine Valley, Glenora Wine Cellars, Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards, Heron Hill Winery, Hunt Country Vineyards, Knapp Winery, Lakewood Vineyards, Pleasant Valley Winery, Standing Stone Winery and Three Brothers Winery. Yancey’s Fancy will also have its artisan cheeses on hand for sampling. The wineries and Yancey’s Fancy will have a variety of products available for fans to taste and purchase. The Finger Lakes Wine Experience tent will be open 12:00 – 5:00 PM and 6:30 – 9:30 PM on Saturday. On Sunday, July 4th, fans are invited to visit the exhibit before the Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen begins; the Finger Lakes Wine Experience will be open 12:00 – 3:00 PM. Admission to the tent is only $5 and only fans must be 21 years or older to enter.
If you enjoy all of the local culture during the Camping World Grand Prix, you may also enjoy the Finger Lakes Wine Festival only two weeks after the 4th of July race weekend. The Finger Lakes Wine Festival presented by Yancey’s Fancy New York’s Artisan Cheese will feature over 500 different wines from nearly 90 New York State wineries. In addition to wine tasting, patrons can watch cooking demos, take culinary classes, taste regional craft brewed beer, ride in an official pace vehicle, attend wine seminars and listen to live music.
