The Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen has some of the best value with 4-day general admission tickets for adults starting at only $60.
The best deals in NASCAR, new ticket options, and a new payment plan will give fans and families more ways to save and more choices for attending the 2011 season at The Glen than ever before. The Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen has some of the best value with 4-day general admission tickets for adults starting at only $60 and new prices for kids 18 and under - only $20 for grandstand seats and $10 for general admission! The Sunday-only reserved grandstand seat returns in 2011 to provide fans the ability to have a reserved seat even if they cannot attend the entire weekend. The popular kids 15 and under free program will once again make attending the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, SCCA Glen Double Nationals, and U.S. Vintage Grand Prix even more affordable for families.
This year fans also have total flexibility when purchasing their tickets for the upcoming season. The 50/50 Payment Plan returns which allows them to pay for half of their ticket purchase up front with a credit card and have the other half charged to them on February 4, 2011. The second option is a new Pick Your Plan option that offers a four-part payment schedule that fans can create. This allows fans to determine the amounts and timing of the first three payments with the final payment being made on the advance sale deadline, April 17, 2011.
The first racing action of the season will be the 30th Running of the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen event weekend, June 3-5. The weekend will showcase sports car racing at its best with the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series and GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sport Car Challenge as well as the open-wheel F2000 Championship Series.
Celebrating 15 years, the Finger Lakes Wine Festival presented by Yancey’s Fancy New York’s Artisan Cheese, July 15-17, moves the fun from the track to the infield. The festival continues to be the East Coast’s largest showcase of New York State wines, and will feature more than 90 wineries from around the region. The festival also includes arts and crafts from some of the area’s best artists, culinary classes, cooking demonstrations, pace car rides, the VIP Riedel Experience, Brewers’ Garden, live music, food vendors, and plenty of onsite camping.
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will return to The Soul of America Road Racing on a NEW date, August 11-14, when they compete in the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen on Sunday, August 14th. NASCAR’s top drivers will be joined by the NASCAR Nationwide Series in the Zippo 200 and the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series in the Crown Royal 200 which are paired together as a double-header for the second year in a row on Saturday, August 13th.
The 2011 season wraps up with the traditional U.S. Vintage Grand Prix, September 9-11, which will pay tribute to the racing heritage of Watkins Glen. The weekend kicks off with the traditional reenactment race through downtown Watkins Glen on Friday, September 10th. Fans can also admire cars at the Chemung Canal Trust Co. Antique Auto Show. The featured marque for both the track and downtown festival will be Datsun Nissan and the weekend’s special guest is yet to be announced.
