New Payment Options Abound for Fans at The Glen
WGI, Americrown Provide Convenience of Credit Cards at Consession Stands; PayPal Now Option for Ticket Purchases

Credit cards will now be welcome at numerous concession stands, including the Budweiser Tiki Hut, around The Glen staring this sesaon.
Fans have been asking for more ways to make their purchases more convenient at concession stands or when buying tickets online and Watkins Glen International is responding. WGI and Americrown, the catering, concessions and merchandise subsidiary of parent company International Speedway Corporation (ISC), will make credit card payment systems available at numerous concession stands throughout the legendary road course starting this season. Fans that purchase their tickets by logging onto www.TheGlen.com will find a new Paypal payment option in addition to standard credit cards.
“It was really a no brainer for Americrown and Watkins Glen International to provide the convenience of credit card payment at several of our food and beverage locations,” said Joe Green, manager of catering and special services for Americrown at WGI. “We have received regular feedback from our loyal fans requesting this option so we are both thrilled and proud to be able to make it happen. We, along with all ISC tracks, are the first to in motorsports to provide our fans with this service and it is just the latest way we are working to enhance the fan experience here at The Glen.””
The new credit card payment systems will be placed at multiple locations during The Glen’s three main racing weekends. Fans that attend the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen and wish to use credit cards can visit Stand 4 located by the main paddock, Stand 5 behind the Turn 10 Grandstand, Stand 7 behind the Ninety Grandstand, Stand 8 behind the FrontStretch Grandstand, the Tiki Hut, and the Pit Terrace concession stand. The concession locations that will have credit card machines during the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, June 3-5, and U.S Vintage Grand Prix, September 9-11, will be determined closer to the event weekends. All major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover will be accepted and all stands with the credit card machines will be marked.
The addition of Paypal, recognized as one of the most popular methods of making purchases online, provides yet another secure method of buying tickets for the numerous exciting events at WGI while online.
Tickets for the 2011 race season at Watkins Glen International are on sale NOW! Fans can order their tickets or get more information about the 2011 race season at Watkins Glen International by calling the ticket office at 866-461-RACE (7223) or logging on to the official website, www.TheGlen.com. Gift certificates and track merchandise can all be purchased at The Shop located at 2 North Franklin Street in downtown Watkins Glen. The Shop is open Monday-Friday 9-5, Saturday 9-4, and closed on Sunday.
