WATKINS GLEN, NY – Time is running out for tasters to save on tickets and camping for the Finger Lakes Wine Festival presented by Yancey’s Fancy New York’s Artisan Cheese, July 15-17. The deadline to take advantage of advanced sale prices is Sunday, June 26, which is this weekend! Tickets and camping can be purchased by visiting www.FLWineFest.com or calling 866-461-7223.
Tasters are able to save $5 on One Day and Two Day Tasters passes. The One Day pass is good for admission on Saturday or Sunday while the Two Day pass is good for both days. Both passes provide access to the tasting areas that are home to over 80 wineries and 600 types of Finger Lakes wines, culinary classes, cooking demos, arts and crafts vendors, live music and much more.
Wine enthusiasts looking to stay in either the GEICO Caveman Unreserved and or GEICO Reserved sections for the entire weekend and get some extra bang for their buck are also in luck! Limited spaces are still available in each location and guests can save $10 off the normal price by purchasing before the deadline. All camp sites are approximately 20 x 40 feet and provide easy access to the festival grounds. One parking pass, good for two motorized vehicles, is included with each purchase and there are no water or electric hookups at each location. The new permanent showers located on the infield and by the West Tunnel are both open and will be available during the weekend.
Once a year, Watkins Glen International transforms from The Soul of American Road Racing into the Finger Lake’s largest tasting room, where over 600 New York wines will be sampled. The celebration kicks-off on the evening of Friday, July 15th, with fireworks, wine, and togas at “Yancey’s Fancy Cheese Launch of the Lakes.” Saturday and Sunday the Festival will feature a variety of wine and food and arts and crafts from across the state, culinary classes, cooking demonstrations, wine seminars, The RIEDEL Experience, the Brewers’ Garden, pace car rides, live musical entertainment and much more. The festival will once again offer reserved camping areas and plenty of free parking.
