No Magic Needed to Make New Gate 7 Campsites Appear
Expansion of Gate 7 Camping Results in More Sites Available to Fans
GEICO Unreserved Camping is expanded by 75 spots for Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen.
WATKINS GLEN, NY – Camping at legendary Watkins Glen International during the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen NASCAR Sprint Cup Series weekend, August 11-14, is always in high demand and 2011 has been no different. The GEICO reserved campgrounds located on the infield sold out in early March and the Gate 7 GEICO Caveman unreserved campgrounds located on the outside of The Boot sold out in May. While the GEICO reserved campgrounds remain sold out, an expansion of the Gate 7 GEICO Caveman unreserved campgrounds resulted in approximately 75 new sites being created. These new sites are available for purchase effective immediately and are expected to go quickly.
Ever since the Gate 7 GEICO Caveman unreserved campground sold out two months ago, fans have been asking if there was any way that more could be created. This strong interest and regular feedback were the driving forces behind the expansion that makes more camping available approximately three weeks before NASCAR returns to The Soul of American Road Racing for the 26th consecutive time. Fans interested in one of the 75 sites simply need to call 866.461.RACE (7223) or visit the official WGI website, www.TheGlen.com.
