Frisselle and Richard Post Fastest Time in GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series Practice
Practice for the Canadian Tire 200 proceeds Fan Walk and Autograph Session

WATKINS GLEN, NY – Brian Frisselle and Henri Richard, in the #77 Office Depot Doran Racing Ford Dallara (1:06.887; 131.864 mph), posted the fastest speed during the two practice sessions for the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series Canadian Tire 200 at The Glen. Defending race winners Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas, driving the #01 TELMEX BMW Riley, were fifth fastest at 1:07.073 (131.499 mph). Fastest among the GT racers were Robin Liddell and Jan Magnussen, driving the #57 Stevenson Auto Group Camaro GTR (1:13.218; 120.462 mph).
The green flag for the Canadian Tires 200 at The Glen will wave on Saturday, August 13 at 6:15 p.m. The GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series event will cover 200 miles (82 laps) or two hours, whichever comes first. Don’t worry about the weather; Sports Cars run rain or shine!
Fans will be granted access to the Rolex Sports Car Series paddock, treated to an autograph session and have the chance to enjoy a Fan Walk on Pit Road Friday from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. All of this access is included in the price of a weekend admission ticket. The GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series is held at team transporters in the main paddock area.
The session will feature every Rolex Series driver including defending Watkins Glen 200 champions Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas, 2011 Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen champions Max Angelelli and Ricky Taylor and 2009 Rolex Series champions Alex Gurney and Jon Fogarty. The GRAND-AM Fan Walk provides every fan in attendance the chance to get an up-close and personal look at the cars and stars of the Rolex Sports Car Series just moments before the green flag. The GRAND-AM Fan Walk will be open to any fan with a weekend ticket on Saturday, August 13, from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The green flag will then fall on the Watkins Glen 200 at 6:15 p.m.
A full autograph session and getting access to pit road only minutes before the start of the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series race not enough? No problem! Fans with weekend tickets will also have access to the GRAND-AM paddock area Thursday, August 11, Friday, August 12, and Saturday, August 13. This access will provide the chance to watch the crews of Rolex Series make the adjustments necessary to help get their cars into Gatorade Victory Lane.
