The Finger Lakes Wine Festival returns to The Soul of American Road Racing July 13-15.
WATKINS GLEN, NY – Tasters looking forward to the unique experience that can only be found at the Finger Lakes Wine Festival presented by Yancey’s Fancy New York’s Artisan Cheese can mark their calendars now for the 2012 edition – July 13-15. The festival continues to be the largest showcase of New York wines in the United States and enters its 16th season at legendary Watkins Glen International.
Recently named one of the Top 100 Events in the U.S. by the American Bus Association, the Finger Lakes Wine Festival offers something for every wine lover. The weekend begins with the Yancey’s Fancy Launch of the Lakes featuring live music, limited wine tasting, food vendors and the popular toga party on the night of Friday, July 13. The fun then moves to the festival grounds on Saturday and Sunday. Wine lovers will find the 200,000 square foot festival grounds spacious, permitting them to easily visit the approximately 80 wineries expected to be in attendance and wide variety of vendors that includes arts and crafts, gourmet food and much more. Culinary classes, cooking demos and wine seminars offer the chance to learn from some of the best chefs and wine experts in all of Upstate New York. Tasters looking to add a little speed to their experience can hop into one of the official WGI pace cars to take a spin around its legendary twists and turns. On-site reserved and unreserved camping means that home is only a few steps away and further enhances an already unique experience.
Looking for the VIP treatment? The RIEDEL Experience returns for its third year and provides a unique, high-end experience like nothing else at the festival. The RIEDEL Experience package is highlighted by exclusive access and events such as a private wine tasting with select wineries, special Sunday morning breakfast, a RIEDEL sensory exploration class and a RIEDEL Tasting Set to take home.
