Apply for Your Chance to Perform at the Finger Lakes Wine Festival
Watkins Glen International is accepting applications for musical acts now!
WATKINS GLEN, NY – Watkins Glen International is now accepting applications for musical acts to perform through the 2012 Finger Lakes Wine Festival presented by Yancey’s Fancy New York’s Artisan Cheese. Live music is a highlight of the Finger Lakes Wine Festival annually and there are several places tasters enjoy the sounds of a variety of performers throughout the festival grounds.
In addition to musical performances as part of the Yancey’s Fancy Cheese Launch of the Lakes, stages are set around the grounds including in the Park, the Cabernet Courtyard and Corkyard, providing plenty of opportunities for musical acts to find their place at The Glen.
Professional groups interested in submitting their application must do so by sending an email to WineFest@TheGlen.com as soon as possible.
Once a year, Watkins Glen International transforms from The Soul of American Road Racing into the Finger Lake’s largest tasting room, where over 600 New York wines will be sampled. The celebration kicks-off on the evening of Friday, July 13th, with fireworks, wine, and togas at “Yancey’s Fancy Cheese Launch of the Lakes.” On Saturday and Sunday, the Festival will feature a variety of wine and food and arts and crafts from across the state, culinary classes, cooking demonstrations, wine seminars, The RIEDEL Experience, pace car rides, live musical entertainment and much more. The festival once again offers reserved camping areas and plenty of free parking.
