WATKINS GLEN, NY – The 2012 Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen entry list announced by GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series includes 2011 two-time winners at The Glen, Max Angelelli and Ricky Taylor as well as last week’s victors Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas in the DP Class. Paul Tracy returns to The Glen in the No. 77 Doran Racing Ford Dallara, co-driving with Jim Lowe. Highlights among the GT Class include Boris Said in the No. 31 Marsh Racing Corvette and Patrick Dempsey co-driving the No. 40 Dempsey Racing Mazda RX-8 with Joe Foster. Green flag drops at 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 1.
Angelelli and Taylor swept the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series events at The Glen in 2011 with wins in June and August. Pruett and Rojas look to use the momentum of a win at Road America a week ago to return to Gatorade Victory Lane at Watkins Glen International. Driving the No. 01 TELMEX BMW/Riley, this duo has captured four victories at this historic road course, winning three-consecutive Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen from 2008-10.
Pruett and Rojas finished second to Angelelli and Taylor in the 2011 Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen while Alex Gurney and Jon Fogarty took the final podium spot.
All GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series drivers on the entry list will be a part of the autograph session on Saturday at 1 p.m. behind the Sir Jackie Stewart (formerly Turn 10) grandstand.
