Red Cat Summer Stage Friday Night Concert Line-Up Announced for the Finger Lakes 355 at The Glen NASCAR Weekend
Marlee Scott, Mike Brindisi & The New York Rock, The Rocky Mountain Stoneflies, Davey Knowles and “Race to The Stage” winner to perform
WATKINS GLEN, NY – The Red Cat Summer Stage features a variety of acts for the Friday Night Concert of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Finger Lakes 355 at The Glen weekend, including rising country star Marlee Scott and Watkins Glen International favorites Mike Brindisi & The New York Rock. PRS Guitars welcomes The Rocky Mountain Stoneflies, Davy Knowles and the In Tune Magazine “Race to The Stage” winner.
Marlee Scott kicks off her weekend at The Glen with a headlining performance on the Red Cat Summer Stage. Scott will perform songs from her recently released album Beautiful Maybe including the first single Train Wreck. The Big Ride Entertainment artist and Toronto, ON, native will perform the American and Canadian National Anthems live on Sunday.
In the midst of recording their sophomore album, Mike Brindisi & The New York Rock return to The Glen as part of the Friday Night Concert. The five-piece rock band has previously performed at Water Street Music Hall in Rochester, NY, Grassroots Music Festival, and they opened for Gavin DeGraw at the 2008 IndyCar Series race at The Glen. Mike Brindisi & The New York Rock also performed at The Glen during the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series weekend. Joining Mike Brindisi on stage is John O’Leary, Mike Caporizzo, Rick Kline and Greg Evans.
PRS Guitars will present three acts as part of the Friday Night Red Cat Summer Stage lineup - The Rocky Mountain Stoneflies, comprised of PRS Guitar employees, the In Tune Magazine “Race to the Stage” contest winner and British singer-songwriter Davy Knowles.
Knowles will perform songs from his first solo album Coming Up For Air. Formerly the lead guitarist of Back Door Slam, Knowles’ solo debut reached No. 2 on the Billboard Blues Albums Charts twice in 2009. He brings his talents to The Glen after previously performing at Rothbury Festival, Lollapalooza and Summerfest.
Live music continues to play a significant part of the fan experience during race weekends at The Glen. This year’s edition of the Friday Night Concert provides fans a wide variety of genres to enjoy before leaving the track. The concert is included in all weekend admission tickets.
