Join Papis, Segal and Vilander for Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen
AIM Autosport’s Max Papis, Jeff Segal and Toni Vilander in The Glen Club for Q&A Sunday
WATKINS GLEN, NY – The list of reasons to enjoy Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen from the comfort of The Glen Club just got a little longer. Max Papis, Jeff Segal and Toni Vilander of AIM Autosport will join GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series fans Sunday morning.
The AIM Autosport trio will entertain questions about their bid to capture a podium finish in the second-segment of the North American Endurance Championship race after Papis and Segal debuted the No. 61 R.Ferri AIM Motorsports Racing with Ferrari F458 at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January.
Fans in The Glen Club have the opportunity to ask Papis about a career that has seen him behind the wheel in Formula 1, Champ Car and NASCAR national series or about what he does while he is not driving – Papis is an avid cyclist. Segal, fluent in French and a University of Miami (Fla.) graduate, can speak to what it takes to finish on top. The 2010 and 2012 GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series GT class champion has 12 career starts at The Glen. Last season, Segal finished third in GT in the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen and captured a seventh place finish in the Continental Tire 200.
Vilander, preparing to compete at Watkins Glen International for the first time in his career, started racing karts at the age five. He is a two-time FIA GT2 champion with Ferrari 430 AF Corse and was runner-up in 2009. The 2012 24 Hours of Le Mans winner with Ferrari 458 GT2 AF Corse, Vilander finished second at Le Man the season before.
During Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen weekend, The Glen Club features a climate controlled luxurious environment with an open bar, televisions and deck top viewing. The Glen Club opens at noon on Friday and at 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Continental breakfast and buffet lunch are served. Infield parking is included with this lavish opportunity to watch sports car racing at its finest.
