WATKINS GLEN, NY – The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) returns to Watkins Glen International with this weekend’s Glenora Wine Cellars U.S. Vintage Grand Prix presented by Welliver. Join The Glen for its final race event of the season and one of the largest vintage events in the United States!
The event features cars on track throughout the weekend with qualifying sessions on Friday and races on Saturday and Sunday. On Friday evening, the Grand Prix Festival of Watkins Glen brings racing back to the streets. Cars competing at Watkins Glen International participate in a race reenactment in the village of Watkins Glen. Participants drive the original 6.6-mile road course in tribute to the 1948 Grand Prix.
There will be two “feature” races amongst the eleven different classes this weekend. On Saturday at 11 a.m., MGs take to the twists and turns of Watkins Glen International for the 29th annual Collier Cup. Historic Trans-Am competes in the Governor’s Cup at 1:45 p.m. on Sunday.
Gates open at 7 a.m. each day. Tickets are available for purchase at the gate or at the ticket office. Admission is $50 for the weekend or $35 for Sunday-only tickets. Kids and teens 19 and under are FREE. Reserved camping is also available for the weekend.
