Cornett Joins the WGI Team
Cornett appointed as Senior Director of Facility and Operations
Prior to his employment at The Glen, Cornett was the Director of Operations at Texas Motor Speedway where he was responsible for maintenance, operations and oversight of speedway properties and assets.
WATKINS GLEN, NY – Watkins Glen International welcomes Chris Cornett to the team as Senior Director of Facility and Operations, effective immediately. Cornett, a Boone, NC native, will be responsible for managing all operations and maintenance requirements of The Glen and supervising Security, Guest Services, Operations, Maintenance, Fire, EMS and Safety Teams and will report to the track president.
“We are thrilled to welcome Chris to our team and upstate New York,” Michael Printup, president said. “He brings a wealth of knowledge with him, as well as a breadth of hands-on facility management experience. He will be an instant asset to our management team and WGI’s continued success.”
Prior to his employment at The Glen, Cornett was the Director of Operations at Texas Motor Speedway where he was responsible for maintenance, operations and oversight of speedway properties and assets. He also served as Director of Emergency Services at Texas Motor Speedway and was the Levy Restaurants Director of Concessions.
