Sixth in the nation in number of craft breweries according to the Brewers Association, New York continues to flourish in the brewing industry and takes center stage at the Finger Lakes Beer Festival.

WATKINS GLEN, NY – Beers from the Empire State are well represented at the Finger Lakes Beer Festival presented by Finger Lakes Beer Trail on October 25 at Watkins Glen International. The variety of beer has increased in the event’s second year, giving fans who attend the event the opportunity to enjoy some of the finest regional and seasonal brews.

“We have been saying this since the beginning of the season, and will say it again - our focus for all events starts right here in New York and our beautiful upstate region” stated Michael Printup, President of Watkins Glen International. “This is such a fun event. We are thrilled to be able to offer more New York State brewed beer as the popularity continues to increase in our region.”

Participating breweries include: Abandon Brewing (Penn Yan, NY), Birdland Brewing Company (Horseheads, NY), Climbing Bines Craft Ale Co. (Penn Yan, NY), Cortland Beer Company (Cortland, NY),  Ellicottville Brewing Co. (Ellicottville, NY), The Farmhouse Brewery (Owego, NY), Finger Lakes Beer Company (Hammondsport, NY), Horseheads Brewing (Horseheads, NY), Lake Placid Craft Brewing (Lake Placid, NY), McKenzie’s Hard Cider (West Seneca, NY), Rogues’ Harbor Brewing Company (Lansing, NY), Rooster Fish Brewing Company (Watkins Glen, NY), Southern Tier Brewing Company (Lakewood, NY), Starkey’s Lookout (G.C. Starkey Beer Co., Dundee, NY) and Wagner Valley Brewing Co. (Lodi, NY).

Goose Island and Shock Top, brewed in Baldwinsville, NY, will also participate. In addition, Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards' Cider Tree and LiDestri Spirits’ Spicy Bloody Mary will be on-site.

Adult admission is $40 and includes a commemorative sampling glass and 25 tasting coupons. Fans must be 21 years or older to attend.
