WATKINS GLEN, NY (April 10, 2015) – Watkins Glen International will once again be providing groups and organizations the opportunity to fundraise through volunteering during the 2015 season.

During the course of the annual WGI event schedule, volunteers are utilized to aid staff as they assist visitors at the historic road course. This year, volunteers are needed for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen (June 25-28), the Finger Lakes Wine Festival presented by Yancey’s Fancy New York’s Artisan Cheese (July 10-12), and the Cheez-It™ 355 at The Glen (August 6-9).

Tasks at each event vary and may include, but are not limited to, food and beverage service at concession stands throughout the facility, grandstand ushers, parking attendants, retail sales, guest services, security, ground keeping, worker registration and ticketing.

Watkins Glen International will provide local and regional non-profit organizations with a donation in exchange for their services during event weekends.

Groups interested in working during an event weekend at WGI should contact Marianne Shoemaker at mshoemaker@theglen.com for more details. Guest services training will be provided for each interested group as “Fans are First” at WGI.

Located within five (5) hours (~300 miles) of 25% of the US population, Watkins Glen International is the premier road racing facility in North America. Tickets for the 2015 season may be purchased by calling 866.461.RACE and online at www.TheGlen.com. Keep up with The Glen on Facebook and Twitter.
