Liddell, Davis claim overall Continental Tire 150 victory at The Glen

WATKINS GLEN, NY (June 27, 2015) Stevenson Motorsports scored a wet and wild triumph in the Continental Tire 150 on Saturday.

Robin Liddell took the checkered flag with co-driver Andrew Davis; holding on for the win after the race was delayed with a red flag due to deteriorating weather conditions and rain that pounded Watkins Glen International for the length of the event.

For the No. 6 Stevenson Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.R team, it was their third win in as many races in the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, padding a steadily strengthening championship points lead. It was also the pairing’s second straight trip to the top of the podium at the historic road course.

In ST Class, Stevan McAleer and Chad McCumbee took victory in the No. 5 Mazda MX-5 for CJ Wilson Racing.

Following the completion of the Continental Tire 150, TUDOR Championship qualifying and Lamborghini Super Trofeo were both cancelled due to weather conditions.

The green flag for the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, with the starting grid set by points, drops at 10:10 a.m. on Sunday. Gates open at 7:00 a.m., with tickets still available.

Located within five (5) hours (~300 miles) of 25% of the US population, Watkins Glen International is the premier road racing facility in North America.
