WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (June 5, 2015) – While attendees explore acres of Finger Lakes wines, cuisine, and vendors of all types at the storied Watkins Glen International this July, they will also have access to a variety of entertainment offerings at the Finger Lakes Wine Festival presented by Yancey’s Fancy New York’s Artisan Cheese.

The largest wine tasting event in the region will again include hours of live music, pace car rides, and demonstrations throughout the facility, with everything kicking off during Friday night’s Yancey’s Fancy Launch of The Lakes, a kick-off event complete with fireworks and revelers dressed in toga costumes. Admission is separate from the Finger Lakes Wine Festival.

Throughout the weekend, the stage in the Sparkling Courtyard adjacent to Tent C will play host to several performances and demonstrations, including: ice carving from The Ice Farm, barrel making with East Coast Wood Barrels Corp., and interpretive dancing by the Wassa Pan Afrika Dance Ensemble.

For Wine Fest attendees looking to take part in a climate-controlled activity, wine seminars (Media Center First Floor) and cooking demonstrations (Media Center Second Floor) are offered free of charge all weekend, with limited first-come, first-serve availability.

A trademark of the annual Finger Lakes Wine Fest, the roster of live music performances is again lengthy for the July 10-12 event.

Performing throughout the weekend are: The Blind Spots (Friday-Launch of the Lakes Stage), Blues Plate Special (Friday-Launch of the Lakes Stage, Sunday-Sparkling Courtyard Stage), Driftwood (Saturday-Sparkling Courtyard Stage), Outer Reef (Saturday-The Park Stage), Funky Blu Roots (Saturday-The Park Stage), Virgil Cain (Saturday-Sparkling Courtyard Stage), DJ Stro (Saturday-Launch of the Lakes area), Brian Fitzgerald (Sunday-Sparkling Courtyard Stage), Rebecca and The Soul Shakers (Sunday-The Park Stage), Scot Adams (Sunday-The Park Stage).
