WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (June 23, 2017) – Residents and visitors alike will notice something different about the intersection of Routes 414 and 14, as they make their way into the village of Watkins Glen.

A new, highly visible welcome sign, accented by a portion of Watkins Glen International’s iconic blue guardrail was unveiled earlier this week.

“We wanted to do something that would stand out to people visiting the area,” said Watkins Glen International President Michael Printup. “You can’t miss the blue guardrail, and Tony Vickio of Vickio Signs did a great job with the artwork. There’s no mistaking where you are when entering the village from the south,”

The approximate cost of the project, funded by WGI, topped $16,000. ACP Concrete donated materials and labor to the cause.

“We have some great partners in the community,” Printup continued. “We work with them all season long at the track – ACP Concrete and Tony Vickio did a fantastic job and everyone at The Glen looks forward to this entrance welcoming travelers to our home.”
