Championship battle comes down to wire in the season finale

Two drivers enter the WGI weekend with a shot at the title: 20-year-old Floridian Oliver Askew, from Cape Motorsports, and 16-year-old Dutchman Rinus VeeKay, driving for Pabst Racing. Askew has seven wins, seven poles and nine podium finishes, while VeeKay has two wins, one pole and an impressive 11 podium finishes in 13 races.

Askew, from Jupiter, Fla., earned a $200,000 Mazda Road to Indy scholarship into the series by winning the MRTI Shootout, which brought together title winners from 18 formula series held all over the world for two days of intense competition both on and off the racetrack.
