Ryan Dalziel did everything in his power to bring the No. 8 Starworks Ford/Riley to Gatorade Victory Lane for the first time this season with new co-driver Lucas Luhr. Dalziel held off teammate Sebastien Bourdais by .817 seconds to capture Starworks Motorports second consecutive GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series victory.

Bourdais and Alex Popow came to The Glen hungry for more after winning the inaugural Brickyard Grand Prix at Indianapolis Motorspeedway.

Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas captured a podium finish in third to preserve their Daytona Prototype championship lead.

Bill Auberlen and Paul Dalla Lana won their second race of the season in the No. 94 Turner Motorsport BMW M3. Auberlen held off Eric Curran by .879 seconds. Curran co-drove the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Corvette with pole winner Boris Said. Andrew Davis and Leh Keen gave Brumos Racing the podium finish in third behind the wheel of their Porsche GT3.
