    Welliver and Glenora Wine Cellars have renewed their partnership with Watkins Glen International and will continue as the sponsors for the popular, season-ending Glenora Wine Cellars U.S. Vintage Grand Prix presented by Welliver, September 9-11. As such, Glenora’s Riesling wine will be poured in Gatorade Victory Lane throughout all of the victory celebrations during the race weekend. In addition to announcing the continued partnership, Watkins Glen International is pleased to announce Bob Sharp as the honored guest and Grand Marshal for the weekend.

    The Glen Helps Fuel The Drive to End Hunger Campaign

    Watkins Glen International is proud to announce that the extra food from the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen weekend was donated to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier on the afternoon of Monday, August 15. Established in 1981, the Food Bank of the Southern Tier has been serving the citizens of Broome, Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, Tioga and Tompkins Counties for the past 30 years. This opportunity allowed The Glen to give back, once again, to its local community while fulfilling the responsibilities of the national campaign developed by the AARP Foundation.

    Ambrose Battles to First Career Sprint Cup Victory by Claiming Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen

    Marcos Ambrose, driver of the No. 9 Stanley Ford, took the green-white checkered at the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen on Monday afternoon. Ambrose finished third or better in each of his previous four Cup starts at Watkins Glen International. He passed Brad Keselowski in Turn 5 on the lap place of the green-white checkered finish to become the fifth first-time winner in the Sprint Cup Series this season, qualifying for the Sprint Summer Showdown.

    We are green-flag racing at Watkins Glen International for the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen. As scheduled the green flag flew at 10:00 a.m. with fans in the stands.

    Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen Postponed Until Monday

    At 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, NASCAR and Watkins Glen International officials announced that the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen Sprint Cup Series race is postponed until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 15. Weather prevented the race from starting at the scheduled time of 1:00 p.m. this afternoon at the 2.45-mile road course. All tickets and return checks, although not required, will be honored on Monday.
