    Murry Outhustles Auberlen at The Glen for BGB Motorsports' Second KONI Challenge Victory of 2008

    BGB Motorsports gambled on a one-stop pit strategy Saturday in Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series Grand Sport (GS) competition and it paid off, as David Murry outlasted Bill Auberlen by 0.307 seconds to take the team's second GS victory of the season at Watkins Glen International, round five on the circuit.

    Brisco Wins Pole for Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen

    Team Penske's Ryan Briscoe survived three rounds of knockout qualifications to win his first PEAK Motor Oil Pole Award in the IndyCar Series since 2005. Briscoe survived the unique qualifying format that narrows the field from 26 to 12 to six. In the Firestone Fast Six session, Briscoe surpassed Justin Wilson in the final minute of the 10-minute session with a lap at 1 minute, 29.3456 seconds, 135.787 mph.

    Matos, Antinucci Each Claim Victory in the Corning Duels

    Raphael Matos and Richard Antinucci won the Corning Duels Firestone Indy Lights races - the first time the series has held two races on the same day. Matos won Race 1 by 2.1290 seconds over Antinucci, passing pole sitter Franck Perera on Lap 3 and leading the final 26 laps. Antinucci came back to win Race 2 after starting from the fifth position. He passed teammate Ana Beatriz on Lap 10 and led the final 20 laps
