The last chance to save on advance ticket pricing at Watkins Glen International is quickly approaching. This year the opportunity to save on event ticket and package pricing will end April 21, extending beyond the traditional Opening Weekend deadline.

    Watkins Glen Elementary Visits Fans R1st Viewing Area for Read for Speed Finale

    Read for Speed students from Watkins Glen Elementary visited Watkins Glen International’s Fans R1st Viewing Area on Monday. One class from each grade level, pre-kindergarten through fifth spent the afternoon at The Glen. Students enjoyed the cars on track, ate picnic lunches and ice cream from Friendly’s in Horseheads.

    The Glen and NASCAR Make Brand Park a Little Greener

    One of Elmira’s most popular parks, Brand Park, received trees donated as part of NASCAR’s Clean Air Tree Planting Program™ Delivered by UPS and Watkins Glen International on Monday. The Glen selected the City of Elmira to receive the trees, purchased from Stillman’s Greenhouse in Montour Falls, to aid in the recovery from the July 2012 tornado.

    Reasons to Volunteer at Watkins Glen International This Summer Add Up

    Watkins Glen International is still in need of volunteer organizations for the 2013 season. The Glen is seeking assistance for the Finger Lakes Wine Festival presented by Yancey’s Fancy (July 12-14) and the Cheez-It™ 355 at The Glen (August 8-11). Non-profit groups interested in volunteering their time will be among the many that receive donations from The Glen as a token of appreciation for the support. In 2012, Watkins Glen International and its food and beverage concession operator, Americrown, donated over $80,000 to such organizations.

    Watkins Glen International Sponsoring WNY Flash Jerseys on June 23

    Watkins Glen International President Michael Printup spent Monday afternoon with the ladies of the Western New York Flash in preparation for The Glen’s support of The Flash’s June 23 game against the Seattle Reign FC. During that game, just one week before Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen (June 28-30), the team will wear jerseys featuring the Watkins Glen International logo and race logo.

    Camp at The Glen for FREE!

    Watkins Glen International is once again offering fans the opportunity to camp for FREE in Gate 1 Camping during Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen (June 28 – 30). This family-friendly event weekend allows kids and teens 19 and under FREE admission with adult tickets starting at just $40.
