Watkins Glen International Set to Repave in 2015


Watkins Glen International President Michael Printup announced Wednesday that the historic track will conduct a repaving project in the summer of 2015. It is the first time the track will be repaved since 1998.

    Finger Lakes Wine Festival presented by Yancey’s Fancy Encourages Responsible Fun This Weekend

    Watkins Glen International will provide a designated driver program to ensure the safety of the crowd during the 16th Annual Finger Lakes Wine Festival presented by Yancey’s Fancy New York’s Artisan Cheese, July 13-15. Designated drivers’ receive a discounted price on admission with access to the entire festival. They will be able to experience all the art and crafts vendors, attend cooking seminars, listen to live music prior to providing their family and friends a safe ride home. Blood alcohol content (BAC) testing conducted by the Schulyer County Sheriff’s Department will take place throughout the Festival.

    Jeff Burton Visits Glen Fans at Dinosaur BBQ

    Richard Childress Racing’s Jeff Burton, driver of the No. 31 Caterpillar Chevrolet, stopped in Syracuse to visit with fans of The Glen at Dinosaur BBQ, families at the Ronald McDonald House of Central New York and patients at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital on Thursday.

Tasters are encouraged to join renowned wine writers Ron Kapon and Holly Howell throughout the weekend for insight on wine both in the Finger Lakes and around the world.     Be a part of the 16th annual Finger Lakes Wine Festival from the beginning and don your best toga for the Yancey’s Fancy Cheese Launch of the Lakes on Friday, July 13.
