Turn 11 FAQ's
Q: Is there still a fan hospitality option in both the Finish Line/AAA
Fan Zone and Pit Terrace Village at Watkins Glen?
A: No, these two areas have been combined into the one trackside Turn 11
Hospitality area. This improvement has been made to provide a better
trackside view based on the fan feedback we receive. We strive to continue
to make improvements each year and we hope you are able to enjoy this new
and improved fan hospitality area.
Q: So what are some of the improvements and changes to fan hospitality
over previous years?
A: The new Turn 11 Hospitality area comes with preferred parking (in Lot
5), pit access pass for Sunday morning August 9, and a NEW trackside view.
We have also added a "Wreck Room" that includes a pool table, foosball
table, darts, bocce ball popcorn and music. Similar to previous years we
will still offer the things you have come to expect; closed circuit
televisions, Q&A's, breakfast and lunch food, unlimited non-alcoholic
beverages, great products from Budweiser, and entertainment. In order to
enhance this experience we did have to increase the price of Sunday only and
weekend admission (Sunday is now $75 and Saturday and Sunday is now $125).
Q: How do I get there from my seats?
A: Fans seated along the front stretch can use the pedestrian bridge.
Fans in the Pit Terrace Grandstand will walk around the NASCAR Garage and
follow the midway on Saturday. On Sunday Pit Terrace fans can enter Pit Road
via a gate below the Pit Terrace Grandstand and go directly to Turn 11,
using the gate under the pedestrian bridge.
Q: How long will the area be open and can I watch the entire race fan
hospitality?
A: The track is only a few yards from the fence and you may stay during
the entire race. Fence line viewing is on a first come, first served basis.
An elevated view is not available from this location and there is no Sprint
Vision view.
Q: When can I expect to be served in fan hospitality? Will food be
available both days?
A: Beverages will be available the entire day (Beer service begins at
noon on Sunday per NYS Law). Meals are served as follows: Breakfast is 9-11
and Lunch is 11:30-1:30. Popcorn will also be available the entire day in
the Wreck Room. Food will be served on both Saturday and Sunday. A complete
menu will be provided upon arrival.
Q: May I bring in my chairs/cooler?
A: Personal chairs are not allowed. Other items allowed in the area are
determined by the ISC grandstand policy.
Q: Is there a limit to the number of people that can purchase fan
hospitality?
A: This area typically sells-out. As in the past, with our other forms
of hospitality, space is limited and fans are encouraged to make their
purchase as early as possible. There is no limit on the number of fan
hospitality passes that a single account holder can purchase, as long as
tickets are still available.
Q: Can I watch both the NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Sprint Cup
Series races from Turn 11 Hospitality?
A: Yes you can! Not only can you sit by the fence to get up close to the
racing action but we will also provide several closed circuit televisions to
allow you to watch the excitement happening around the entire track. This
will include both live TV coverage and coverage from the SPRINT Vision
screens.
Q: Does everyone that purchases Turn 11 Hospitality get a Sunday morning
pit access pass?
A: Yes! All of our fans who purchase weekend or Sunday only hospitality
will receive a pit access badge to use on the morning of Sunday, August 9
before the race starts. Access times will be printed on the badge you
receive.
Q: Is the pit access badge the same as a cold pit credential?
A: No, they are not the same. A cold pit credential will give you access
to the cold pit access area anytime the pits are considered "cold" during
the entire weekend. A pit is considered "cold" when the cars are not running
on the track. When the cars are running the pit is considered “hot”. The pit
access badge will only get you into the pits on Sunday morning, August 9.
Access times will be printed on the badge you receive.
