WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (May 29, 2019) – The Finger Lakes Wine Festival presented by Yancey’s Fancy New York’s Artisan Cheese has announced the menu for the Taster’s Banquet, presented by Women for WineSense, making the prestigious Jack Daniel’s Club at Watkins Glen International the place to be on the evening of Saturday, July 13.
The Taster’s Banquet is a great way to wrap up day one of the Finger Lakes Wine Festival. Highlighted by a four-course meal, prepared by Americrown Executive Chef Paul Miller, there will also be a variety of Finger Lakes wines carefully selected from regional experts from Women for WineSense, to sample with each dish concluding the first day of USA Today’s ‘Best Wine Festival’.
The four courses are as follows:
Roasted Sweet Potato, Feta and Freekeh Salad
Accompanied with a Raspberry Vinaigrette
Potato Crusted Cod over Zucchini Noodles
Drizzled with a House Made Lemon Basil Buerre Blanc
Grilled Marinated Pork Chop with Parmesan Polenta Cake
Served with Freshly Prepared Chimichurri Sauce
Mixed Berry Tart in a Chef Made Toasted Phyllo Cup
Doors for the Taster’s Banquet are set to open at 5:30 p.m., and a ticket must be purchased in advance. The featured chef for the Taster’s Banquet is Americrown Executive Chef Paul Miller. He is well versed in the food service industry, with experience as an Executive Chef at hotels, private country clubs and as a personal chef for many different clients. His food service experience began when he was just a teenager, and he has spent the last 15 years with Americrown. Chef Paul has been with Watkins Glen for five years now, and he is “Always Ready!”
