The grandstands have changed at Watkins Glen International and now is the time for the names to change as well. With the replacement of the remaining grandstands ongoing, The Glen has decided to rename five existing grandstands prior to the start of the 2012 season. Fan submissions will be accepted through Saturday, March 31 for suggestions on new names for the Green, Silver, Red, White and Blue, Turn 10 and Turn 11 stands.

Weather Aids Capital Improvement Projects at The Glen
Unseasonably mild weather at Watkins Glen International has allowed Capital Improvement Projects to continue at an unexpected pace. Construction crews have taken advantage of elements upon the hill and look ahead to an ever approaching Opening Weekend (April 21-22).

Fan Appreciation the Whole Year Through
Renewal customers of Watkins Glen International received a unique thank you in their mailboxes this week. "Follow Me to The Glen" car or window decals were sent to all fans that chose to renew their tickets for any of the 2012 events prior to the November 14 deadline.

Watkins Glen International invites fans to watch The Great American Race – The Daytona 500 in the Media Center on February 26. The green flag flies at 1 p.m. and doors open at noon to a party that includes the opportunity to win prizes throughout the race.

The Watkins Glen International launched a mobile website on Friday to allow fans to keep up with all of the latest news and information while on the go. Viewable on the Android, Blackberry and iPhone devices, the website provides fans with a variety of information regarding the 2012 schedule, daily Thunder Road Tours, tickets as well as directions on how to find The Glen.
