Now is the time to clear your calendars for a weekend of wine, food, friends, and fun at the annual Finger Lakes Wine Festival presented by Yancey’s Fancy New York’s Artisan Cheese. Watkins Glen International will welcome more than 80 different wineries, as well as musicians, regional chefs, food purveyors, craft vendors and visitors from all over the country, July 11-13.

Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen Grows To Historic Level With New Racing Series
Watkins Glen International is proud to announce the full lineup of racing action for this year’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen. In addition to the previously announced TUDOR United SportsCar Championship and Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, the weekend will also include Lamborghini Super Trofeo, Porsche GT3 Cup USA, and Cooper Tires Prototype Lites. The Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen weekend begins June 26.

Ferrari Challenge North America Added
Watkins Glen International announced the addition of the Ferrari Challenge North America to their action packed 2014 schedule. This new event will bring world class drivers and spec versions of the Ferrari 458 Italia to the historic road course, September 19-21.

Watkins Glen International traveled to the State capital to open a New York State Motorsports Exhibit in the Empire State Plaza, where Governor Cuomo proclaimed March 17-23 “Motorsports Week in the State of New York.” As part of the event, Watkins Glen International attended legislative sessions to witness the adoption of the resolution recognizing motorsports in New York. The New York State Senate and Assembly each recognized the 65th Anniversary of Watkins Glen International and spoke about the importance of the motorsports industry for tourism and economic development upstate.

Zippo Renews Title Sponsorship of NASCAR Nationwide Series Race
Zippo Manufacturing Company recently signed their multi-year renewal of the Zippo 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series entitlement at Watkins Glen International. Zippo has been a premier partner of The Glen since 1993, and is currently the longest continuous sponsor of Watkins Glen International. Now in its tenth year, the Zippo 200 is the third longest running Nationwide Series race under the same name and sponsorship. This season marks the 10th anniversary of Zippo’s entitlement of the NASCAR Nationwide Series race during The Glen’s traditional NASCAR race weekend in August.
