Come Rain or Shine, The Action at The Glen Will Be Hot on Saturday, August 13
NASCAR officials confirmed that the Nationwide Series race will start as planned even if it rains tomorrow at Watkins Glen International. There is only a 40 percent chance of rain for the Zippo 200 on Saturday afternoon and the Canadian Tire 200 GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series race that night so fans will be treated to plenty of racing, the only question is whether it will be in the wet or the dry. Many races at WGI have been held in the rain over the years, but it would be the first time ever a NASCAR race had been run in such conditions at The Glen. The green flag will fall on the Zippo 200 at 2:00 p.m. and will be followed by the Canadian Tire 200 at 6:00 p.m.
