The popular food and wine festival will amp up the vibrancy of the Finger Lakes Region
WATKINS GLEN., N.Y. (January 14, 2024) – The famed food and wine summer event at Watkins Glen International is getting a brand-new look. Formally known as the Finger Lakes Wine Festival, F.L.X. Summer Fest at the Glen is an immersive experience for families and friends to enjoy all the Finger Lakes Region has to offer with an elevated atmosphere of excitement.
F.L.X. Summer Fest takes place July 18-20 at the famed New York venue against a backdrop of Seneca Lake under the mid-summer skies. The multi-day celebration brings the community together through live music, local craftsmanship, and fantastic food and beverage options from the region.
“The new and improved F.L.X. Summer Fest at The Glen is made to be a place where everyone can gather to celebrate the culture of this unique New York region,” said Dawn Burlew, President of Watkins Glen International. “It’s the perfect event to capture the spirit of summer. Between the beautiful weather, activities for everyone to enjoy, and music that brings smiles to everyone’s faces, it represents the inevitable fun people have when they visit the Glen.”
Summer Fest begins on Friday, July 18 with a lively kickoff party in the evening to get the weekend started. Then, Saturday brings the main action featuring a full day of family-friendly activities including interactive craft workshops, games, food and drink tastings, and local artisan markets. Those in attendance can also witness the high-speed action of cars going around the historic Watkins Glen track throughout the day, providing exciting thrills for visitors of all ages. The night will culminate in a live music performance to celebrate the spirit of the Finger Lakes.
F.L.X. Summer Fest at The Glen comes to an end on Sunday, July 20 with 5K Fun Run on the track at Watkins Glen, taking in all the sweeping views the venue has to offer. Those in attendance can also enjoy a relaxing breakfast for an additional cost.
On-site camping will be available throughout the weekend, allowing festivalgoers to fully embrace the atmosphere of the event. Camping tickets will be available on Jan. 27. The renewals period begins on Jan. 27 and ends on Feb. 28 for those who camped during last year’s festival.
